Yet another successful activity held by the ACFE Florida South Chapter 11. On September 23, 2024 the webinar on Elder Fraud Investigations was led by Karen Skuse of THe Bonadio Group. The session examined the distressing trends in elder fraud, the harm and risk to elders in the community and the effect on their quality of life. It is estimated that 1 in 6 elders are affected by fraud annually leading to lower quality of life and higher rates of depression and death.

The session examined recents elder fraud developments, market trends, and investigation procedures. In addition it explored elder fraud investigation tools and techniques.
